“Girls Like You” by The Naked and Famous

I’ve been mildly obsessed with these guys since I came across one of their songs in this video a few months ago. They only had a couple singles on iTunes at the time, but I tracked down their full-length on bandcamp (though it’s no longer available there). Well, it’s officially available on iTunes as of a couple weeks ago (which I’m sure is why it’s not on bandcamp anymore) and it’s only $7.99. Highly recommended if you’re a sucker for catchy indie-rock(pop?).

Hello. Welcome to my corner of the interwebs.

For those of you who are curious, I currently live in Southern California with my wife, two dogs and three(!) cats.

I used to engineer records (of the audio variety), but one day I woke up and realized two things:

1. I married my wife because she's rad, and I'd like to actually spend time with her.

2. I found it extremely depressing and unsatisfying to imagine reaching 65 years of age, looking back on my life, and realizing that I had spent most of it locked in windowless rooms with a bunch of dudes, recording mostly mediocre music.

So, now I build websites. Or that's the idea anyway, as I'm really just getting started.
